Subject: Is Positive Thinking POSITIVE ? Mon Jun 25, 2012 4:13 pm
Forcing ourselves to feel positive about any situation and accepting it whilst we feel that we are against it is to be totally dishonest with ourselves.
Isn’t positive thinking a form of submission to reality and a form of denial of our own truth? Isn’t positive thinking a way to selfishly find what is for me in any situation?
Genuine soul questions for a true seeker. Yet positive thinking is a method used by many schools to grow in life. Why?
In the first stage of positive thinking we are training ourselves to find positivity in what appears at first instance to be negative; we are widening our mind’s limits and discovering that reality have infinite interpretations depending on the perspective we chose.
The second stage starts when we realize that situations don’t bring us our feelings but the way we think about them does. Here we start questioning the reality of things: Are things positive or negative by nature, or is it our mind that is making them appear so? Are we reacting to "the" reality or to OUR reality?
The third stage starts when the role of mind itself is questioned: can my mind find theTruth? Is there really a Truth? Isn’t truth another interpretation of the mind? Aren’t we always making assumptions about reality and that whatever we are assuming might be wrong? Can I really follow my mind?
We will go around these questions till our real need for deep, direct and genuine connection with life force us to surrender. Surrender our minds to our inner being and fall into our center. Where there is only the need to be total with life with total positivity, reliance and openness. Where there is only one Truth: connection, joy, love.
Positive thinking is positive for a negative mind, where positive assumption is needed to accept life. When the mind stops, positivity flows from within us without the need for positive thinking. Mind is about thoughts and thoughts are always with or against us. If we move our center from our mind to our inner being and if we drop the wall of our thoughts, the wall between us and life will drop. Bliss will follow.
Positive thinking means choosing thoughts that feel good rather than allowing outside elements to control the caliber of our thoughts.
It’s about choosing to look at life experiences from a pleasant perspective and harnessing our power to seize the best in any circumstance.
